WHY RIDE HERE
Small-town welcome.
Big outdoor country.
Forested plateaus, lakes, waterfalls, and easy access to historic downtowns make the Upper Cumberland a natural basecamp for a Tennessee riding weekend.
The Upper Cumberland is a scenic, rural region shaped by forested plateaus, lakes, waterfalls, and welcoming historic downtowns. Ride close to Cookeville or make a weekend of the surrounding communities, where multi-use cross-country trails offer something for first-time riders, experienced mountain bikers, and everyone in between.
Many trailheads are convenient to I-40 and Highway 111, while others begin near some of Middle Tennessee's most inviting campgrounds. After the ride, local shops, breweries, restaurants, and town squares make it easy to slow down and stay awhile.

Rides for every kind of day
Choose a relaxed family loop, a quick after-work lap, technical cross-country mileage, or a longer backcountry adventure.
Scenery built into the ride
Rhododendron tunnels, fern grottos, lake views, waterfalls, and campground access turn a trail ride into a complete Upper Cumberland getaway.
